Circles Seemed to be the theme with these save the dates? Yup. The client loved the look, classic yet chic and modern. I agree.
Purple seems to be a neglected color in wedding and parties, but I was very happy when they told me they were using that as accent color.

One of my favorite color combinations is blue and mocha. I could simply make all invitations in this color. I know there are other brown combo lovers out there as well.
These save the dates could be customized to do any colors and really almost anything could be placed in those lovely dots. A baby's name...a wedding date...so many options!

This week is Save the Date Week! Most people associate these with big events like weddings, however some are using them to spread the word about another popular event - Sweet 16's. We've all seen or heard of the shows on tv about these events and how huge they are right now. Why not make sure everyone you love can attend it.
I love save the dates because they really give your guests a sneak peak...a little taste of your event and the theming. They don't have to be expensive and they don't have to be huge to spread the word.
This week I am going to showcase the many save the date designs I created for a past client.
I love these because they could be used for a wedding, or to share the news in a small way for a little one's arrival.
First up: Polka Dot in Pink
This design is placed in a handmade pink pocket with brown ribbon accent.
This save the date can be printed on card stock or magnet paper.

Once I started Daydream Ink all I needed were customers. Lucky for me my friends and family have been so kind to ask me to design their invitations and spread the word. My first official client came when a long-time friend Christina got engaged in Disney World. Knowing my love for Disney World she came to the expert when she had an idea for their save the date magnets. She wanted to include a hint of their wedding theme, colors and their engagement story. Save the Date magnets have become a popular way for brides and grooms to give their guests a glimpse of their wedding in a fun and useful format. I was excited to take this design on and create the perfect package. The final magnets incorporated their light blue and silver colors, their castle/fairy tale theme, and a picture of the couple as well as a picture from the place they got engaged....Cinderella's Castle.
The final product is still one of my favorites with a sheer iridescent paper and light blue bow wrapping the magnet carefully in place.

Christina and Jason also asked me to complete their invitations and wedding programs.
